Dr. Robert Campbell
DVM, DAVDC
Dr. Campbell graduated from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in 2009. Following graduation, he completed a rotating internship at the Ontario Veterinary College and residency training in Dentistry and Oral Surgery at Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine. He was board-certified by the American Veterinary Dental College in 2016 and is the only Board Certified Veterinary Dentist practicing in a 24-hour full-service hospital in Southern Alberta.
Dr. Campbell enjoys all aspects of dentistry; however, he particularly enjoys the surgical management of oral and maxillofacial tumours, maxillofacial trauma, cleft lip and palate repair, and the surgical management of salivary gland disorders and sialocoeles. Working in a 24-hour multi-specialty hospital (including working with Board Certified Anesthesiologists) allows him to safely treat high-risk and medically compromised patients.
Outside of work, Dr. Campbell is a private pilot and volunteers for Canadian Wings of Rescue, which flies rescue missions in Western Canada. In the past, he has volunteered with the Canadian Ski Patrol and enjoys Alpine Skiing and spending time with family. He has served on the AVDC Examination Committee and is currently serving on the AVDC Appeals Committee. He has a Brussels Griffin (Gremlin), a Pug (Squirrel), and a GSD mix (Becky).
